LACUNA COIL Singer Interviewed At UK's DOWNLOAD Festival; Video Available
June 17, 2008James Allman of Baconmusic conducted an interview with vocalist Cristina Scabbia of Italian gothic metallers LACUNA COIL at this year's Download festival, which was held June 13-15 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, UK. Watch the eight-and-a-half-minute chat below.
Scabbia performed with Finnish cello quartet APOCALYPTICA at the Download festival on Sunday, June 15. Cristina sang the epic ballad "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)", which was featured on APOCALYPTICA's new album, "Worlds Collide", and was released as a single earlier this year, accompanied by a suitably dark and lavish video. "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)" was also featured in the new motion picture "Stone's War" a science-fiction war movie based on a story of Finnish soldiers during World War 2.
The Download festival performance marked the first time that APOCALYPTICA has performed live with Cristina Scabbia. It was also Cristina's first appearance in the UK without LACUNA COIL.
APOCALYPTICA and Cristina also performed their song collaboration at last night's (June 16) Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards ceremony at Indigo O2 in London, UK.
